Saturday 13th June 2026 saw nearly 40 walkers take on the challenge of a 16-mile trek through the beautiful Gower countryside. Blessed with glorious sunshine and perfect walking conditions, everyone enjoyed a fantastic day together while supporting an important cause.
STURR supporters turned out in force to raise funds for a range of projects focused on justice, and community development in Asia. Among these is KNOWN, an initiative working to ensure children from disadvantaged backgrounds gain a sense of identity and value through birth registration and certification. The programme also helps educate parents about the importance of registering children at birth and supports the sharing of information within communities.
Funds raised will also contribute to the development of young adults through our joint rugby programme with Master 7 Foundation in Laos, as well as supporting agricultural and self-development projects such as the Abundant Goat Farm in Nepal.
We are delighted to report that the event has already raised nearly £1,600, with additional donations still coming in. A huge thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, and supported the day.
YOU can still donate at sturr.org/donations/ – Your generosity will make a real difference to the lives of many people across the world.
