Last year, eleven walkers took on the challenge of walking 30 miles from Cross Hands to Mumbles Pier. Thanks to the generosity and support of our supporters, we raised an amazing £5K to support our work. Every step we took made a difference, and we’re proud of what we achieved together.
This year, our STURR Walk is centred on the theme of _pilgrimage._ Pilgrimage carries an opportunity to walk with purpose, to reflect, and to connect more deeply with God, others and ourselves.
It’s not just about the landscape, or the history held within the churches along the way. It’s about meeting fellow walkers, sharing the journey, and challenging yourself. It’s also a chance to reflect on your support of STURR and consider how you might connect more actively with its work in the future.
The route will take you through a series of beautiful locations through Gower including the churches in Llanmadoc, Cheriton, Llanrhidian, and St. David’s.
This time we ask each participant to raise £120 as an entry contribution.* These funds will go directly towards supporting STURR’s work in areas of justice.
Some Details:
We invite you to join us as we walk together, 16 miles in total. However, walking will be split into four stages and if you want to walk a shorter distance you may.
Walking on Saturday 13th June, we meet at our starting point Penclawdd, Gower and finish at Llanmadoc, Gower.
