Isaiah 9:2–7
Advent begins in the dark. The prophet Isaiah speaks to a people walking in deep darkness — yet promises that a great light will come. We, too, live in shadows at times: uncertainty, waiting, longing. But Advent reminds us that God’s light is already dawning. Hope is not wishful thinking; it is confident expectation that God will do what He has promised.
Prayer: Lord, let Your light rise in my heart today. Where I feel lost or weary, shine the hope of Your coming near. Amen.
